Fuel, road tax and the MOT in one yearly and monthly estimate, so you can compare cars before you buy. Estimates only.
What is included
Fuel from your mileage and the car's economy, road tax from the official GOV.UK rates, and the maximum MOT fee when an MOT falls due in the next 12 months.
Not included: insurance, servicing, tyres, repairs, breakdown cover, parking, emission zone charges and depreciation. Get insurance quotes for the exact car before you buy.
Questions people ask
Why is insurance not included?
It depends on you, where you live and the exact car, so only an insurer can price it. Get quotes before you commit to a car.
Is the MOT always included?
Only when the car will need one in the next 12 months: it is three or more years old, or turns three within the year. We use the £54.85 maximum fee; many garages charge less.
How accurate is the estimate?
The road tax comes from the GOV.UK rate tables for the details you enter. Fuel depends on how and where you drive and on prices, so treat the total as a guide.
